The mission of Heartland Church is to love people well and lead them into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that Small Groups are the absolute best structure to accomplish this mission. In order for us to “love people well” we must first get to know them on a personal basis. Small Groups, or Simple Churches, provide a way for people to develop friendships; to explore their faith; to better understand and discuss the Bible; to identify and use their unique giftedness; and to provide care and support for one another.
Our Small Groups consist of 6-12 individuals who meet together on a regular basis in homes throughout our area. Groups are led by individuals who feel called by God to this position of leadership and who avail themselves of training and support provided by the church staff. They facilitate the logistics of the group as well as monitor the health of group.
Our goal is to provide a healthy Small Group for every person who considers Heartland Church to be their “home”. We encourage you to find a group that fits your particular needs, life stage, and schedule.
We provide 3 basic ways for you to find a Small Group. First, you can attend one of our connection events called GroupLINK. To learn more and to see the schedule of upcoming events, please scroll down to the GroupLINK information on this page.
Secondly, you can click here to see a listing of Small Groups that currently have openings on their rosters. Feel free to email the leaders of any group you might be interested in to learn more about their particular group.

GroupLINK Registration
GroupLINK events are a safe and simple first-step event where you will meet and connect with others in your community and stage of life to form a Small Group. These new groups are an introdu
ctory step into group life that last approximately eight weeks. At the end of this time period, the group members can decide to extend their commitment, or they can dissolve to find other group members.
If the group decides to continue, they will become a closed Small Group with a commitment to meet together in someone’s home for the next 18-24 months. Beyond that, group members are encouraged to become small group hosts/leaders and start new groups.
There are several group types available: Married Couples, Ladies, Mens, Singles (of the same gender of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity). Single small groups contain singles only, while Ladies and Mens groups contain both single and married individuals. The choice is up to you! Groups also form based on different interests, hobbies, and geographical location.
